Baby Tea

~April 10, 2011~

My Best Friend since 2nd grade, Lyndsey Cunningham, headed up & planned every little detail of my Baby Tea with her Mom. They did an absolutely AMAZING job...everything was PERFECT! Lyndsey definitely knows exactly what to do to make me feel so special. I cannot thank her & all of the hostesses enough for throwing such a wonderful shower for us. 

{Note: I have over 250 pictures from this shower & obviously cannot post all of them. I couldn't figure out how to upload them to Picasa from the DVD so I cannot make collages, therefore I will not post any pictures of me opening gifts...just the decorations & the "sea of gifts!"}

This was such a special day that I will never forget :)

4D Ultrasound

~April 5, 2011~

28 weeks

We have been waiting for this day for so long! We were so lucky that both of our parents were able to join us on this special day! Grayson is the first grandchild on both sides so I have a feeling he is going to be one spoiled little boy :) 

It was absolutely AMAZING to see our sweet little man! 

He was being a little stinker & didn't want to cooperate. But after the lady jabbed at him a little bit, he finally turned & we were able to get tons of pictures. We didn't get a really good, complete shot of his entire face but overall we are happy with what we got :)

Grayson was being shy & kept his hands in front of his face the majority of the time.

Grayson has hair...I hope he has a head full of it too!!!!

Doctor's Appt

~March 30, 2011~

27 weeks

Today I went in for the Glucose Tolerance Test. I was a little nervous because everyone told me that the "orange drink" is awful & made some people sick. Well, leave it to me to guzzle it down like water :) It actually wasn't that bad, it tasted like really really sweet kool-aid. Since I had to wait 1 hour before having my blood drawn, they told me to go ahead & see my doctor for my check-up. 

Grayson's heart rate was 134 bpm & my baby bump measured 27 cm. My iron was up to 32 {2 points higher than the last visit}. Dr. H said everything looked really good & our sweet baby boy is growing right on target.

Good news! I passed the Glucose test! YAY!!!!

Doctor's Appt

~March 4, 2011~

23 1/2 weeks

We had yet another doctors appointment. Grayson's heartbeat was 140 bpm & my baby bump measured 23 cm., he is still growing right on track. My iron was up to 30 {4 points higher than the last visit} so it appears the Bifera Iron Supplements are working :). The bad news is that I gained 8 lbs in the past 4 weeks...yikes!! The doctor said it was okay because I needed to gain the extra weight to begin with but to watch my caffeine, sugar & carb intake so that I don't gain another 8 lbs in the next 4 weeks. So, let's see how this goes...

Grayson James Runnels

We picked the name "Grayson" well,...because we both really like it :)

And we picked the name "James" because it is Bradley's first name, as well as his Father's first name & his Grandfather's {his mom's dad} first name. This was an easy way to cover his side of the family :)

Disney World Trip Feb. 16-19, 2011

~Day 1~

Once we arrived in Orlando & got settled in at the hotel, we met up with The Hope's & went straight to the restaurant for lunch. Then we took a taxi to the outlet mall for a few hours. We were all pooped so we went back to the hotel for a mini-nap. We met back up with The Hope's & went to Downtown Disney to walk around and have dinner at Bongo's.

~Day 2~

We got up early & headed to Universal Studios with Matt & Katy. Neither of them have ever been to Disney World so they were really excited to see what it was about. I was a little bummed that I could not ride ANYTHING at Universal (not even the kiddie rides) but I still had so much fun & took lots of pictures. They finished all the rides by 2pm so we headed back to the hotel for a quick nap & to get ready for the NMFN Mixer.

~Day 3~

We got up bright & early for the NMFN meeting. Bradley was onstage for being the "Gold" winner so I had to get there early to get a front row seat to take pictures.

{*I just have to say that I am extremely proud of my husband for his hard work & dedication to his clients and his career. He has accomplished so much & has reached so many goals that he set for himself.*}
 After the meeting, Bradley & I went to lunch with Matt & Katy, then Katy & I headed to the pool while the guys went back to their afternoon meeting :)

After a much needed nap, we got ready & headed to dinner at TuTu Tango's with Frank, Lyndsey, Daniel, Matt & Katy. This was a very interesting place...there was a belly dancer that would dance around the restaurant when a certain song was played. We all had a great time though!

We arrived back in Birmingham around 10:30am which gave us the entire rest of the day to unpack, pick up the 3 dogs, and even get paint for the nursery.
